Music Connections INTERNATIONAL www.musicinregensburg.com
It was interesting to visit a new place like Germany and to learn about its
historical and musical background through tours in Dusseldorf and a visit to the
Beethoven-Haus in Bonn. Seeing our musical peers perform was very important; the
opportunity to perform in several different spaces also created the need to be
able to adapt to different types of concert halls: it takes some skill to be
able to perform in a larger concert hall, then a church, and then a small
concert hall, where you can easily see every face in the audience. Cleo, 13, violin, NewYork
I really enjoyed the festival. Thank you for all the effort and that of the faculty. I would definitely go next year if I can. Best, David. 29. violin, Massachusetts
I think the camp was very fun and I think I improved my playing violin very much. Eric, 9, violin, South Korea
It was good to try a new camp. I liked the boat tour very much, it made Sunday fun. It was a bit of a pain to travel to Duisburg and back, but the lessons in single instruments and chamber music paid it off. Santtu, 12, cello, New York
"Music on the Rhine" has helped me attain a new appreciation for music. Sutdying with Esther Yau on the iano, I've learned so much here. This camp, with all its elite students, really has agreat influence on people. Jesse, 14, piano, Massachusetts
Thank you very much for everything. I had a great time. I really enjoyed it and learned a lot in thes camp. I hope that I can come next year and see you all again. Than you. Santiago, 15, piano, Mexico
